Job Overview

The Counter Manager on the Cosmetics floor leads one of the most dynamic and high-energy departments in the store. This individual supervises and develops a team of Beauty Advisors, driving strong sales performance both in-store and online.

As a leader, the Counter Manager sets the standard for exceptional customer service, fosters a culture of continuous learning and client engagement, and ensures the team delivers compelling product presentations that reflect current trends and brand identity.

Essential Functions

• Deliver an easy, seamless, and fun in-store experience that fosters long-term customer relationships

• Lead and inspire your team to achieve sales goals through effective client engagement and product knowledge

• Use technology to enhance the customer experience and maximize multi-channel sales opportunities

• Oversee merchandising and operational standards for the counter/brand area

• Coach and develop Beauty Advisors to ensure optimal service delivery and personal growth

Qualifications & Competencies

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• 3–5 years of related experience in retail, preferably cosmetics or beauty

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals

• Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the store

• Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, and distinguish color

• Frequent use of technology, including handheld devices and point-of-sale systems

• Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly
