Guest Service Attendant

Job Summary:

Corner Bakery is seeking a friendly, attentive, and guest-focused Guest Service Attendant to join our front-of-house team. In this vital role, you will be the face of our restaurant—greeting guests, taking orders, serving food, and ensuring every customer enjoys a warm, welcoming, and satisfying experience. You’ll work closely with both kitchen and service teams to maintain the high standards of hospitality and efficiency Corner Bakery is known for.

Guest Service Attendant Responsibilities:

• Greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude, creating a positive first impression

• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system

• Ensure timely and correct delivery of orders to guests in a courteous and efficient manner

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, condiment stations, and beverage stations

• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the dining area and stocking supplies

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, concerns, or complaints

• Collaborate with kitchen and other team members to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction

• Assist in clearing and resetting tables, as well as light bussing during peak hours

Guest Service Attendant Secondary Functions:

• Support cashier and food runner roles as needed

• Assist with light custodial tasks such as sweeping, wiping tables, and refilling restrooms

• Promote menu items and daily specials with enthusiasm

• Uphold company standards for appearance, service, and cleanliness

Guest Service Attendant Requirements:

• High school diploma or currently pursuing one

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or customer service role preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Friendly, professional demeanor with a team-first attitude

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English

• Possess or be able to obtain a valid Foodhandler Card, as applicable

• Punctual, reliable, and willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
