Job Summary:
Corner Bakery is seeking a motivated, experienced, and results-driven General Manager to lead our restaurant operations and team. General Manager Responsibilities:
Oversee all day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficiency, quality, and guest satisfaction
Lead, coach, and develop team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment
Manage financial performance, including labor, food cost, and inventory control
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health standards in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
Handle scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management of team members
Monitor and respond to guest feedback to continuously improve service and dining experience
Coordinate with corporate leadership on sales goals, marketing initiatives, and company standards
Maintain proper documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and team communication logs
General Manager Secondary Functions:
Support frontline operations during peak times as needed (e.g., hosting, taking orders, or food prep)
Oversee facility maintenance and coordinate repairs when necessary
Participate in community engagement and local store marketing efforts
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor and employment laws
General Manager Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
2–5 years of management experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
Proven leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and guest service abilities
Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities
Proficient in basic business software and POS systems
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Foodhandler Card or ServSafe certification
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
