Job Summary:

Corner Bakery is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and hard-working Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team. In this essential support role, you’ll help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment. You'll assist in both cleaning and basic food preparation, working closely with the kitchen team to maintain our high standards of sanitation and guest satisfaction.

Dishwasher Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using proper techniques and cleaning agents

• Follow established cleaning procedures using appropriate chemicals, including soaps and sanitizers

• Assist with food preparation tasks such as baking cookies, cakes, and breads, and prepping Panini ingredients

• Receive and organize food and supply deliveries as directed by the manager

• Interact positively with guests when needed, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor

• Maintain overall cleanliness of the dish area, kitchen equipment, and floors

• Perform custodial duties such as mopping, taking out trash, and light maintenance as needed

• Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in guest dining areas

Dishwasher Secondary Functions:

• Support Serving Attendant roles as needed

• Help with custodial responsibilities and minor maintenance

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to meet health and safety standards

Dishwasher Requirements:

• High School diploma or currently pursuing one

• Ability to complete Corner Bakery Café (CBC) driver training and pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check, if required

• Possess or able to obtain a valid Foodhandler Card or ServSafe certification, as applicable

• Preferred: 3+ months of work experience in a restaurant or retail setting

• Strong guest service and communication skills

• Ability to understand and follow English instructions

• Must be reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a team environment
