Job Title: Host/Hostess

Job Summary:

As a Host/Hostess, you are the first and last impression for our guests. Your friendly demeanor, professionalism, and ability to manage the flow of the restaurant play a key role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming guest experience. You’ll greet guests, manage waitlists, seat guests efficiently, and support the front-of-house team to maintain a lively, upbeat environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival with a smile and friendly attitude

• Manage the waitlist and reservation system, accurately quoting wait times

• Seat guests efficiently and distribute menus

• Communicate with servers and managers to maintain proper table rotation

• Answer incoming calls and provide information or take reservations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and lobby area

• Assist in ensuring guests have an exceptional experience from entry to exit

• Monitor the dining area to ensure tables are ready and properly set

• Thank departing guests and invite them to return

Qualifications:

• Previous host/hostess or customer service experience preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

• Friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor

• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays

• Must be at least 18 years of age (varies by location and policy)

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment
